5月12日に撮影された、メキシコの首都メキシコシティの約120キロ北部に位置する貯水池の汚染水だ。
北米最大級の大都市メキシコシティが廃棄物や汚染水を大量にこの貯水池に送り込んだ結果、周辺では環境悪化と健康被害が深刻化。
ここ数年の雨不足による貯水率の低下も問題に拍車をかけている。
