ACCEL BaaSの背景
ブロックチェーンへの期待が様々な形で高まる(*2)一方で、実装難易度や学習コストが高いことで実装が進んでいるとは言い難い状況(*3)です。ACCEL BaaSは、あらゆるエンジニアが簡単にブロックチェーンを扱える環境を整え、サービス開発のPDCAを回す原動力となることを目指しています。

ACCEL BaaSの特徴

１.APIとして提供
APIを呼び出してブロックチェーンアプリケーション開発に必要となる基本機能(*4)を実装可能。特定のプログラミング言語に依存しないため、WebだけでなくIoTや基幹システムなど多様なケースの導入を想定。

２.コントラクトテンプレート ・GUI
頻繁に使われるスマートコントラクトをテンプレート化し、設定をGUI化することで、Solidity等のプロトコル固有の開発言語に習熟せずに、一般的なブロックチェーン機能を提供できるよう設計。提供テンプレート数はリリース後に随時拡充していく予定。

３.マルチプロトコル・プラットフォーム(*5)
各種ブロックチェーンのプロトコル間で互換性を担保。サービス開発の検証におけるプロトコル間のスイッチングコストを低減、本番稼働までスピーディに移行。

４.エンドユーザーにとっての高いユーザビリティ
ブロックチェーン上のトランザクションに必要な手数料を、サービス提供者がエンドユーザーに代わって一時的に立て替える機能を実装。エンドユーザーはサービス利用前にEthereum等を入手する必要が無くなり、サービス拡大のハードルを低減。

５.容易なインフラ構築
開発に必要なインフラの構築やデータの同期が不要に。技術支援パートナーであるMicrosoft社製のMicrosoft Azureを採用。

TECHFUND, Inc (Co-founder Peaske Karahawa and Yuta Matsuyama. Tokyo, Japan.) has released “ACCEL BaaS (*1)” which accelerates blockchain app development.
You can choose any programming languages to develop blockchain app development through the APIs.

While blockchain attracts more attentions not only for service development but also as a funding methodology like ICO(Initial Coin Offering), the difficulty of implementation and the learning cost are high so we haven’t see much progress on actual implementations (*2). 1. Provide as APIs
You can implement basic blockchain functions (*3) by only calling API. It doesn’t depend on any programming languages, so it’s supposed to be used for development of Web, IoT, enterprise system and so on.
*3. Wallet creation, get balances, transferring, contract deployment, smart contract execution, data reference etc.

2. Contract template / Easy GUI setting
It’s designed to turn frequently used smart contracts into “templates” and be enabled to configure by GUI which leads to provide general blockchain functions without mastering platform-specific languages like Solidity for Ethereum. Templates will be added after the release.

3. Multi-platforms (*4)
ACCEL BaaS will be compatible among multiple blockchains to decrease switching cost in verification of service development and bring you smoothly to production release.
*4. Ethereum is currently supported. NEO, LISK and other blockchain will be supported soon.

4. High usability for end-users
Service providers can temporarily pay for the fee which is necessary for blockchain transactions instead of end-users. End-users don’t have to buy cryptocurrencies like Ethereum before use of each service, which result in decrease of obstacles for service expansion.

5. No need to construct infrastructures
You don’t have to construct infrastructures or data synchronization necessary for each blockchain. Microsoft, our technology partner, provide us with Microsoft Azure.
