費用ゼロからの「ビルオーナー向け緑化支援サービス」をはじめます。

都市部のビルの屋上やフリースペースを、ミツバチの蜜源となるハーブや実りのある植物を中心に緑化。ビルオーナーと共に、 都市における “人間と自然の共生” を目指します。

2021年4月1日、株式会社Beeslowは、都市部のビルオーナーや入居テナント企業向けに、無料の緑化サービス「Beeslow Garden」を開始します。

ビルの緑化は、地球温暖化の原因のひとつである温室効果ガス削減のソリューションとして、長年注目されてきました。しかし、かかる費用が大きく、緑化されている建物の数が少ないという現状があります。

私達は、ミツバチの保全や生物多様性の促進のために緑化可能な場所を探す中で、未利用で放置されている屋上が多くあることに着目しました。


本サービス「Beeslow Garden」では、緑化費用を株式会社Beeslowが負担。誰でもワンコインから都市の屋上緑化に参加できるサービス「Beeslow Club」という環境活動へのファンディングを財源とし、緑化を進めます。
ビルオーナーは費用ゼロで屋上緑化を始めることにより、カーボンオフセット、生物多様性オフセットといったCSR活動への取り組みを、気軽に開始することができます。

屋上緑化というと、管理や原状復帰を優先した画一的な植物を使用するのが一般的ですが、本サービスでは「花粉媒介者＝ミツバチ」目線で選んだ、ハーブを中心とした多様な蜜源植物を用います。

ミツバチと植物の力によって、都市で失われた生物多様性を取り戻し、従来型の緑化の効果だけでなく、ハーブや果実等の「美味しい」実りをもたらすのが特徴です。
（立地等の条件次第では、ミツバチの巣箱を置くことも可能。）

実りのある屋上庭園は、人間にとっても癒やしの空間となり、テナント同士や地域のコミュニティ活性、そしてビルの価値向上にも繋がることが期待できます。


サービスは本年4月よりスタート。第一弾として、都心部でビル管理業を行う栗山エステイト株式会社と共に、東京都中央区にて屋上緑化を開始します。

Beeslow Inc. will start "Zero-Cost Environmental Support Service for Building Owners".
Herbs and plants that source nectar for bees will bring green to the rooftops and unused spaces of urban buildings. Together with building owners, we aim to create a "symbiosis between humans and nature".
On April 1st, 2021, Beeslow Inc. will start "Beeslow Garden", a free greenery service for building owners and tenant companies in urban areas.

Rooftop gardening has been attracting attention for a long time as a solution to reduce greenhouse gases, one of the causes of global warming. However, the cost is great and the number of buildings with gardens is small.

In our search for potential green spaces to keep bees and promote biodiversity, we came across rooftops that were unused and abandoned.

With "Beeslow Garden", Beeslow bears the cost of greenery. The greenery will be funded by Beeslow Club, a service that allows anyone to participate in urban rooftop gardening with as little as one coin. By beginning to rooftop garden for free, building owners can easily start CSR activities such as carbon offset and biodiversity offset.

Interestingly, when it comes to rooftop gardening, it is common to use standard plants that prioritize ease-of maintenance and give little return. Our service uses a variety of nectar plants instead, mainly herbs, selected with an eye toward the pollinator/honeybee.

With the cooperation of honeybees and plants, it is possible to restore lost biodiversity to the city and produce not only conventional garden results, but also delicious herbs and fruits.
(Depending on the location and other conditions, it may be possible to install beehives.)

A fruitful rooftop garden can be a healing space for people and other living things that will help revitalize the local community, as well as increase property value.

The service will start April this year. Together with Kuriyama Estate Co., we will begin with rooftop gardens in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
