メットライフ生命の強固な財務基盤をS&Pが引き続き評価

メットライフ生命保険株式会社（代表執行役会長社長最高経営責任者エリック・クラフェイン）は、2019年8月6日、S&Pグローバル・レーティング・ジャパン株式会社（以下、「S&P」）から、保険財務力格付けを「AA-」に、アウトルックを「安定的」にそれぞれ据え置いたとの決定を受けました。

日本のソブリン格付け（A+）を上回る格付けとアウトルックは、S&Pが2019年7月1日付に公表したグループ格付け手法を適用した結果であり、メットライフ生命についてメットライフグループでの「中核」の保険会社であるという位置付けを維持したものです。この「AA-」の格付けは、メットライフ生命の財務基盤が強固であることが改めて示されたと考えています。保険会社の財務の健全性を示すソルベンシー・マージン比率も889.6%（2019年3月31日時点）の高水準を維持しています。

METLIFE JAPAN’S SOLID FINANCIAL HEALTH UNDERSCORED BY RENEWED AA- S&P RATING

TOKYO, August 13, 2019 – S&P Global Ratings Japan Inc. (S&P) has reaffirmed MetLife Insurance K.K.’s (MetLife Japan) stable outlook and long-term counterparty credit rating of AA-.

MetLife Japan’s rating and outlook, which are higher than that of Japan’s sovereign debt (A+), are based on S&P’s Group Rating Methodology, published on July 1, 2019, and reflect those given to other core subsidaries of MetLife, Inc. The AA- rating underscores MetLife Japan’s continued financial health, as does the company’s solvency margin ratio of 889.6 percent (as of March 31, 2019).
