在日オーストラリア・ニュージーランド商工会議所（ANZCCJ） 日豪経済連携協定（JAEPA）発効を記念して祝賀会を開催

在日オーストラリア・ニュージーランド商工会議所（略称：ANZCCJ、会頭：メラニー・ブロック）は1月15日に日豪経済連携協定（JAEPA）が発効となることを歓迎します。同協定の発効により、オーストラリアの輸出業者は1月15日および4月1日に二度にわたって行われる関税削減によって恩恵を受けることになります。

日豪関係における重要な節目となるこの日を祝うべく、ANZCCJでは1月15日（木）にレセプションを開催いたします（18:30～21:00、於：オーストラリア大使館）。同会では基調講演に三菱商事株式会社取締役会長の小島順彦氏をお招きしているほか、オーストラリア、ニュージーランド大使館関係者、ANZCCJ会員が参加する予定です。


ANZCCJ会頭のメラニー・ブロックは、日本におけるオーストラリアのビジネスコミュニティーを代表して、次のように歓迎の意を表しています。「このたびのJAEPA発効は豪日関係における大きな発展となります。ANZCCJ会員は、豪日両国の貿易・投資の機会が更に増すことにつながる両政府の取り組みを高く評価しています。在日オーストラリアビジネスコミュニティーにとって、この日は大変喜ばしい日であり、次のステージに向けて行動することを楽しみにしています。」
またJAEPA発効にあたり、ブルース・ミラー駐日オーストラリア大使は次のように述べています。「両国の連携という名のストーリーは協定発効のみでは終わりません。私達は経済界および日本政府と協同し、この協定がスムーズに実現し今後長い年月にわたって両国の貿易・投資が更に促進されるようにしていきます。」
1972年の創立以来、ANZCCJは豪日二国間経済貿易関係の促進における強力な支持者としての役割を果たしてきました。ANZCCJ会員は豪日両国の政府と連携し、JAEPAが利益をもたらすよう働きかけてきました。

The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (ANZCCJ) to Host Reception
Welcoming Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA)

The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ANZCCJ) welcomes the implementation of the Japan-Australia Economic Partnership Agreement (JAEPA) entering into force on 15 January 2015. The agreement provides two rounds of tariff cuts: one on entry into force and the other on 1 April 2015, with further phased tariff reductions on 1 April in subsequent years.

To celebrate this important milestone in Australia-Japan relations, the ANZCCJ will host a reception on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Australian Embassy in Tokyo. The event will feature a keynote speaker: Yorihiko Kojima from Mitsubishi Corporation with guests from the ANZCCJ as well as the Australian and New Zealand Embassy.

Melanie Brock, Chair of the ANZCCJ, shares the positive sentiment expressed by the Australian business community in Japan. “This is a significant development for Australia-Japan bilateral relations. Our members appreciate the work undertaken by both governments to ensure business conditions improve and that trade and investment between our two countries increases. It is a great day for the Australian business community in Japan and we are all looking forward to moving things to the next stage.”

Upon the implementation of the JAEPA, Australian Ambassador to Japan Bruce Miller states, “The story of cooperation does not end with entry-into-force. We will continue to work with business and with the Japanese government to ensure that the agreement is implemented smoothly and in a way that facilitates trade and investment in the coming months and years.”

Since its establishment in 1972, the ANZCCJ has been a strong advocate for promoting bilateral trade and economic relations between Australia and Japan. ANZCCJ members have worked with both the Australian and Japanese governments to realise the benefits under the JAEPA.
