セイコーエプソン株式会社がエンタープライズPLM としてAras を導入

Aras 社（本社：米国ボストン、代表取締役社長：Peter Schroer）の、日本における総販売代理店である株式会社プログレス・パートナーズ（本社：東京都新宿区、代表取締役社長：久次 昌彦）は、セイコーエプソン株式会社（代表取締役社長：碓井　稔、以下エプソン）がマイクロデバイス事業本部内での水晶デバイス事業における情報管理システム（エンタープライズPLM）としてArasを採用したことを2012年2月27日に発表しました。

エプソンのマイクロデバイス事業本部は、タイミングデバイスやセンサーなどの水晶デバイスを製造する業務の合理化とグローバル連携拡充のためにAras エンタープライズ・オープンソースPLM を選択しました。

エプソンでは、水晶デバイスの製品情報管理、製造マスタ管理、他システムとの連携（基幹系システム、MES、その他）、含有化学物質情報管理にAras Innovatorを活用していきます。Aras 社のPLM ソリューションは、エプソンの世界規模での製品の絶え間なき改善戦略を、品質、コスト、および顧客満足の側面からサポートします。

「以前運用していたPDMシステムは機能拡張、維持コストなどに課題がありました。」エプソン　デバイス情報化推進部　PLMシステム導入推進リーダーである中井義博氏は言います。「Aras Innovatorは自分たちでカスタマイズをすることができるので、導入、維持コストを抑えることができます。また他システムとの連携も容易で、生産管理システム、社内ワークフローシステムとの連携を実現したり、だれもが使えるインターフェースを実現するためにMicrosoft Silverlightを使ったClientも実現できました。これによりExcelを使ったデータの一括投入なども容易に行えるようになっています。」

Leading Global Developer of Crystal Devices Chooses Aras for Configuration Management, Manufacturing BOM Management, REACH and RoHS Regulatory Compliance and more
