L&Bが手がけた施設がアメリカ主催のデザイン界の基準を高める為に設立された新しい国際的デザインアワード MUSE Design Awards 2024を受賞

淡路島の宿泊施設を企業の保養所へ再生したプロジェクト「Yogibo RECREATION FACILITY AWAJI」



このプロジェクトは、空き家の増加・新たな働き方の創出やコミュニケーションの希薄化という２つの課題を組み合わせて、離島にサテライトオフィスを計画したものです。
昨今の少子高齢化の影響で、田園や島の利用が減少し、誰も住まない空き家が増加しています。一方で、企業が直面する課題の一つに、新たな働き方の創出やコミュニケーションの希薄化が挙げられます。都心から離れた解放的なエリアで、従業員と地域住民との交流時間の増加や、廃墟となった空き家の再生といった課題をデザインによって解決しています。

This project combines two issues: the increase in vacant houses, the creation of new ways of working, and the weakening of communication by planning a satellite office on a remote island.
Due to the recent declining birthrate and aging population, the use of countryside and islands is decreasing, and the number of vacant houses where no one lives is increasing. On the other hand, one of the challenges faced by companies is the creation of new ways of working and the dilution of communication.
In an open area away from the city center, we are solving problems through design, such as increasing the amount of time employees spend interacting with local residents and reviving abandoned, vacant houses.

この度、株式会社L&B（代表取締役 七種珠水）が手がけた淡路島のリノベーションプロジェクト「Yogibo RECREATION FACILITY AWAJI」が、アメリカ主催の国際的デザインアワード MUSE Design Awards 2024 Gold賞を受賞いたしました。

“Yogibo RECREATION FACILITY AWAJI,” a renovation project on Awaji Island handled by L&B Inc. (CEO : Tamami Saikusa), won the MUSE Design Awards 2024 Gold Award, an international design award sponsored by the United States.

MUSE Design Awardsは、アメリカのInternational Awards Associate（IAA）によって2015年に設立された、世界最高のデザインとイノベーションを称えるプログラムの一環です。美学と機能性の両面を重視し、建築、インテリア、プロダクト、ランドスケープ、照明、パッケージなど、さまざまなデザイン分野の優秀な成果を表彰します。
可能性の限界を押し広げ、デザイン界の基準をさらに高めるよう他の人々にインスピレーションを与えることを目的としています。The MUSE Design Awards are part of a program established in 2015 by the American International Awards Associate (IAA) to celebrate the world's best design and innovation. Emphasizing both aesthetics and functionality, the award recognizes outstanding achievements in a variety of design fields, including architecture, interiors, products, landscapes, lighting, and packaging.
We aim to push the boundaries of what is possible and inspire others to raise the bar even further in the design world.

コンセプト　「irori（いろり）」
日本の淡路島にある、利用されなくなった宿泊施設を再生したプロジェクトです。このオフィスは、都会から離れた場所で、働く人々がリラックスして働けるようにデザインされています。
建物のラウンジには、日本の伝統的な囲炉裏「Irori」があり、ここは人々が集まり、アイデアが生まれる場所として機能しています。
外装・内装には砂や海の潮の質感を取り入れた素材と日本の伝統である畳で構成されており、自然とのつながりを感じる空間となっています。
働く人々同士のコミュニティが生まれ、創造力に満ち溢れる職場として、企業が成長することを目的としています。


Concept: "Irori"
This project involves the revitalization of a disused lodging facility on Awaji Island, Japan. Designed as an office space away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it aims to provide employees with a relaxed working environment.The main lounge of the building features a traditional Japanese hearth called "Irori," serving as a gathering place where people can freely come together and generate new ideas. Additionally, the interior of the building is constructed using materials that incorporate textures reminiscent of sand, wind, and sea tides, creating a space where one can feel connected to nature.With the goal of fostering a sense of community among employees and creating a workplace full of creativity, this project ultimately aims to contribute to the growth of the company.
