昨日の皆既月食は見えた？ 世界中からの観測報告まとめ

　
昨日の2018年1月31日には皆既月食が起き、日本だけでなく世界中でその赤銅色の月が観測されました。今回の満月は普段より大きな「スーパームーン」、1月に2回満月を迎える「ブルームーン」、赤銅色の月「ブラッドムーン」をあわせて、NASAでもスーパー・ブルー・ブラッド・ムーンなんて呼称を使っていますね。
　
そもそもなぜ皆既月食の月が赤いのかについてですが、これについてNASAのジェット推進研究所にお勤めの小野雅裕さんは書籍「宇宙に命はあるのか」の特設サイトにて、「地球の朝焼けと夕焼けが反射されているから」と解説しています。なるほど、だからあんなにも赤かったんですね！
　
そしてここでは、世界中で観測された美しい月食の模様をご紹介したいと思います。次回に日本で発生する皆既月食は2018年7月28日に東北地方以西で観察できる予定です。また、日本全国で観察できる皆既月食は2022年11月8日となります。
