まともに機能しない米政治

"My comments were aimed at Paul Manafort, a seasoned campaign professional with experience and knowledge of how the Russians operate. He should have known they are duplicitous, cunning and not our friends. To reiterate, those comments were not aimed at Don Jr."

 

（トランプ政権にロシアとの「共謀」問題は存在しない）

　敢えて長々と原文を引用したのは、他でもない。今もワシントンの住人がこの程度の低レベルコメントの応酬に一喜一憂していることを、読者の皆さんに知ってもらいたいからだ。バノンは本での発言自体を否定していない。トランプ陣営も和解の可能性については沈黙している。これで米国政治がまともに機能するはずはない。
