トランプ夫人のスピーチ盗用疑惑も 異常事態続出の共和党大会

　反トランプのグループは、トランプ指名を阻止することはできなかったが、「共和党はトランプ支持で団結していない」というイメージを全米に伝えることには成功した。

　そんな揉め事があった初日のハイライトは、メラニア・トランプ（トランプの３番目で現在の夫人）のスピーチだった。メラニアはスロベニア出身の 元モデルであり政治家ではない。大衆の前での演説は初めてで、しかも英語は母語ではない。それなのに、プロでも緊張する大舞台を落ち着いた態度でこなしたメラニアへの評価は当初高かった。



　ところが、それから数時間もたたないうちに「メラニアのスピーチは盗作だ」という情報がツイッターに流れた。2008年の民主党大会で聴衆を感動させたミシェル・オバマのスピーチをコピーペースト（切り張り）したとしか思えない、酷似した部分があったのだ。この事実は、翌日の明け方には大手メディアでも報道された。
