日比谷図書文化館 特別展「しりあがりさんとタイムトラブル 江戸×東京」2024/4/26(金)ー6/23(日)

千代田区立日比谷図書文化館では、2024年4月26日（金）から6月23日（日）まで特別展「しりあがりさんとタイムトラブル 江戸×東京」を開催します。

近年、江戸時代浮世絵の巨匠である葛飾北斎の作品『冨嶽三十六景』をパロディーにして話題を巻き起こしたしりあがり寿氏。これまで発表した北斎のパロディー作品を展示するとともに、千代田区立日比谷図書文化館 特別研究室所蔵の歌川広重の浮世絵を基に千代田区の風景を描いた新たなパロディー作品を披露します。

観覧料：一般500円、大学・高校生300円
※千代田区民・中学生以下、障害者手帳などをお持ちの方および付き添いの方1名は無料

展示概要
パッケージデザインや広告宣伝などを担当する傍ら、マンガ家としてデビューし、白土三平の作品のパロディーやサラリーマンの生活を描いたギャグマンガ、新聞連載の社会派4コママンガ、不条理マンガなど様々なジャンルの作品を制作してきたしりあがり寿氏。2018年・2021年には江戸時代浮世絵の巨匠である葛飾北斎筆『冨嶽三十六景』（1830-32年頃）をパロディーにした『ちょっと可笑しなほぼ三十六景』他、「しりあがり流に解釈した北斎ワールド」で注目を集めました。
本展ではこれまで発表した北斎のパロディー作品を展示します。また日比谷図書文化館 特別研究室所蔵の歌川広重筆『名所江戸百景』（1856年）などを基に千代田区の風景を描いた新作をお見せします。浮世絵において最大のライバルとされた北斎と広重が描いた江戸時代の風景に、しりあがり寿氏が描きこんだ現代の文物や人々のタイムトラブルを見て、クスッと笑いながらタイムトラベル(時間旅行)を楽しめる展覧会です。

Exhibition overview

While working in package design and advertising, Shiriagari Kotobuki made his debut as a manga artist and created works in a variety of genres. In 2018 and 2021 his works ''The Nearly Thirty-six Somewhat Ridiculous Views'', a parody of ''Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjūrokkei)" (1830-32) and “Interpretation of Hokusai world in Shiriagari style” attracted much attention.
This exhibition will display parody works of Hokusai that have been already exhibited in the past. In addition, we will also exhibit some new works depicting the scenery of Chiyoda Ward based on modern prints, including ukiyo-e prints which are owned by the Hibiya Library and Museum Special Research Laboratory. This exhibition will bring a chuckle to the audience as they enjoy a time-travel experience through contemporary humor depicted by Shiriagari in the Edo period landscapes of Hokusai and Hiroshige, two of the greatest rivals in ukiyo-e.
